Turn to Your Original Nature 2:144

Indeed, We understand you are looking for spiritual direction. We will absolutely turn you in a direction (qiblah) that will satisfy your soul. So turn your face in the direction of the sacred mosque . . .

The Kabah, or Bayt Allah (house of G-d) was established by Abraham for the worship of the one, true G-d. It is inside the sacred mosque (Al-Masjid Al-Haram) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and is the direction muslims face during prayer.

The Kabah is symbolic of our original human nature and as our qiblah, it symbolizes the unity of all humanity. It is equally the home for all mankind.

Every baby is born with a soul that is pure. Then he or she loses that purity to the bad influences in the world or in their surroundings. Every person is born muslim (submitting to G-d’s will), and it is their circumstances that cause them to change.

When we face the Kabah during our prayer, we reconnect with the nature we were born with. The nature that knows it is the servant of G-d and endeavors to be the best it can be in all aspects of the life here and hereafter.

G-d understands we are all looking for spiritual direction. And He turns us to a qiblah that absolutely satisfies our souls.
